Please take it away from me
You paid so much more
Giving yourself to the land
Planting your tiny spores
All called for you to hear
But you chose to ignore
You are your new god
You are self reformed
Your heart sleeps
The soul forsaken
Your brain cries
The mind desolated
Your heart leaps
The soul overtaken
Your brain tries
The mind elevated
You posited all your thoughts
In that observation
Does the man exist at all
Exiled in isolation?
How can he learn to love
With such limitation
Can a mind sustain
Doomed to separation?
But what the mind can see
Left to exploration
The rebuilding of the temple
Through this restoration
A newly formed soul
Ripe for impregnation
The end of all you were
Is self reformation
Your heart sleeps
The soul forsaken
Your brain cries
The mind desolated
Your heart leaps
The soul overtaken
Your brain tries
The mind elevated
You are not your father's child
In self reformation
You won't concede a thought
In self reformation
You can't be judged at all
In self reformation
You are the only one
In self reformation

Grateful Dead-esque side of the band on display here. I've been a fan of this band for more than a few years now and this might be their best track. chewanmcgregor

The "Islands Series"(if we're still calling it that) has always been my personal favorite output from SDF. This one is no different. This band can do no wrong. nico
